Logan Wayne White (b. 1991, Los Angeles) is an American artist based in Milton, Georgia. White's work asserts presence through mass, weight and symmetry. Built from a language of black planes, right-angled forms, and militant repetition, his practice operates in the charged space between function and sculpture.
André White (pen name MonsieurBlanc), is first and foremost a contemporary storyteller. Chicago-born White acquired his signature high contrast sensibility from navigating menacing terrains everyday to and from school. He received a fine arts scholarship granted by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, alma mater of renowned painter Jeff Koons and musician Kanye West.
This unique set of circumstances helped crystalize his distinct perspective which juxtaposes historical references with modern iconography, spiritual paths with material objects, and philosophical constructs with romantic aesthetics. White co-founded Le GRAND HEIRS in 2016 under the philosophical ideology that stories, objects, and ideas cannot be significant without an identifiable counterpoint. He fully subscribes to the belief that art and commerce can coexist symbiotically, rather than in conflict. White curates commissions in fashion, film, art, poetry, and music representing defining moments in his personal life and in contemporary culture. His work has been featured on Beyoncé and Pulitzer Prize winners as well as international art fairs in Hong Kong.
